Job Title: Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer (Insurance)
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Location: Yorkshire – South Yorkshire desirable
Job Type: Permanent
Hours & Days of work: Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
Usual working hours: 08.00 to 20.00

Our Client, a business built by an established engineer with well over 15 years in the industry, is looking for committed persons to join their ever-expanding team of Engineers on gas servicing and breakdowns.
To service, repair and replace boilers – You must work in accordance with GSR (Gas Safety Regulations) and as per the manufacturer’s instructions. You will be working on the insurance side, so jobs will be in line with manufacturer’s warranty. You will be provided with any necessary training, but you must showcase safe working practices and high-quality levels of workmanship.
You must plan and organise your workload efficiently to maximise productivity, whilst continuing to showcase the expected high levels of customer service. Communication is key.
Keep check and log of van stock.
Undertake assessment of repairs reported if necessary, following through with diagnosis and information to enable a decision to resolve the issue.
The Person Specification:
Attitudes & Qualities:
·Self-motivated; a passion to work in the industry
·Good time management
·Communication – both verbal and written – alongside stellar customer service skills
·Excellent practical skills and attention to detail
·The ability to make an informed decision and take control in situations
Qualifications / Skills & Experience:
·Apprentice trained engineers with NVQ level 3 is desirable
·Advanced City and Guilds or equivalent in Gas or Plumbing; Domestic ACS qualifications
·Full UK Driving Licence
·4+ years of experience working as a Gas Engineer or similar
·2 years breakdown experience
·Prior experience in customer facing roles
·It is required to have your own gas analyser
